Austin Anderson (Wash State, ‘16) named Director of Expansion for Sigma Alpha Mu Fraternity. Austin is receiving this promotion after serving the past two years as Educational Leadership Consultant.
“Austin amplified his undergraduate experience as founding father to support colonies and expansion,” stated Executive Director Andy Huston, “this promotion emphasizes the fraternity’s growth initiatives in supporting existing chapters and new colonies."
As an Educational Leadership Consultant, Austin led expansion efforts at Maryland, Rhode Island, NYU, Oregon, Brooklyn and Illinois State. Andy shared, "he honed his skills leading expansion efforts and is prepared to work with university administrations and interested alumni to restart dormant chapters. We will also be adding new locations based on student interest.”
After two years of working on staff, Austin explained, “I am excited to be restructuring our expansion and colony development. My immediate concerns are to support new members and alumni who want to see their universities on the active chapter roll again.”
Austin graduated from Washington State University in 2016 with a degree in Criminal Justice and Pre-Law.
