Supreme Prior 

David K. Sergi 

Texas A&M ‘85

Fra David Sergi is one of the founding fathers of Gamma Kappa Chapter and was the first Prior. After graduating he went to law school at South Texas College of Law where he served on the Law Review. After receiving his degree, he clerked for the Hon. George P Kazen, a Federal Judge. Thereafter he worked for several large law firms in San Francisco and Sydney Australia before settling down in San Marcos Texas where he founded his own firm. David has served as Regional Governor of the Gulf Coast Province, served as Chair of the Risk Management Committee, Legal Committee, and as Vice Supreme Prior.  He also served on the Standards Committee, (Fra Discipline committee).

Vice Supreme Prior

Jerry L. Conrey 

Cal State Fullerton ‘86

Jerry joined Sigma Alpha Mu in fall of 1983, he served as both Vice Prior and Prior of the Gamma Xi chapter at California State University, Fullerton, where he was also a charter member.  Fra Conrey currently serves on the Standards Committee and has chaired it the last two years.  Jerry left university in 1988 to enter the insurance and risk management industry as an insurance agent; he returned to his collegiate work and earned his undergraduate degree from Alameda University in Business Administration, and then his MBA with an emphasis in Finance in 2006.  Fra Conrey owns Conrey Insurance Brokers and Risk Managers, licensed in several states and serving businesses and individuals throughout Southern CA.  Jerry is also actively involved in his community, industry, his church, and teaches Entrepreneurship to MBA students at CSU Fullerton.  Jerry is married to Victoria, an ER physician, and they reside in North Tustin, CA.  Jerry counts travel, golf, bicycling and poker amongst his many passions.  He is an avid fan and season ticket holder of both the Anaheim Ducks and the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

Supreme Exchequer

Bruce E. Bernstein 

U. of Texas ‘71

Bruce graduated from the University of Texas with a BBA in Accounting, a JD from the University of Houston Law School, and a Masters of Laws–LLM–from Southern Methodist University. He is an Attorney & CPA and has his own firm in Dallas, Texas. He has been practicing for 37 years. Bruce pledged Sigma Alpha Mu in the Fall of 1970 and was initiated in the Spring of 1971. He is currently on the Boards of the Sigma Theta Chapter, Housing Corporation and the Parent/Alumni Association. Bruce is currently serving the Fraternity as Supreme Recorder. Bruce and his wife Patti have two children, Natalie and William. He also serves as Ex-Officio Trustee of the Sigma Alpha Mu Endowment Fund.

David P. Kleppel 

Washington U. ‘85

BS Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, MS Electrical Engineering. David was Phi Chapter’s House Manager for three years. He served two years as Vice President of the Washington University Interfraternity Council. He has served on several Octagon committees and also as Regional Governor of the Midwest Province for over six years. He was elected Consul of the Octagon in 2014. When Fra Kleppel graduated, he did so with two bachelor’s degrees and a master’s degree in engineering. His first employer was AT&T Bell Labs. David is now Managing Partner of Eighty-Twenty Plus, a globally-deployed Business Intelligence and Predictive Analytics consultancy. David travels extensively, but when not on the road, he is based in Columbus, OH. He and his wife Andrea have three children, Ben, Hilary, and Jamie.

 

 

 

 

Rabbi Andrew Marc Paley spoke at the Majestic Theatre during the commemoration of the tenth anniversary of 9-11 on September 11, 2011 in Dallas, Texas. The event featured religious speakers of various faiths.

Rabbi Andrew M. Paley 

Ohio State ‘87

Elected to the Octagon in April of 2015 to complete the term of a former Consul, Rabbi Paley was re-elected to the Octagon in August of 2015. Fra Paley is a 1987 initiate (grad in 1990) of Ohio State University and the Sigma Beta Chapter. He previously served SAM as Supreme Recorder in 2004. Rabbi Paley is the former Assoc. Rabbi at Temple Emanuel in Cleveland, OH. He and his wife Debby have two children, Molly and Samuel.

Andrew M. Ahitow 

Iowa ’99

Andy served as Vice Prior and Prior of the Gamma Omicron chapter. He also served as undergraduate Consul in 1999. He graduated with a degree in business from Iowa and now owns Chicago Apartment Finders, Inc and is also a real estate developer and entrepreneur. Andy joined the Octagon in 2007 and became Supreme Exchequer in 2008 and served as Supreme Prior from 2013-2015. He and his wife, Rachel, are parents of two daughters, Mia and Sophie.

Daniel A. Grossberg

Miami (OH) ’87

As a member of Mu Psi, Dan served as Prior, Candidate Educator and Rush Chairman. Dan served as chapter advisor to Sigma Chi and Regional Governor in the Mid-Atlantic Province before joining the Octagon in 2009. Dan is a CPA and works as an IT manager for a large national accounting firm. He and his wife Kelly live in suburban Washington D.C. with their three daughters: Shayna, Hannah and Jamie. In his spare time, he enjoys learning golf and Spanish, reluctantly exercising, riding his Victory Vegas motorcycle and sitting in his hot tub thinking big thoughts.

Kyle Riegler 

Florida Atlantic ‘09

Kyle graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a BBA in Management and Accounting. Fra Riegler is a 2009 initiate of the Delta Tau Chapter where he served as Prior, President of the IFC, and Chairmen of the Fraternity and Sorority Board of Directors. Also, he is a member of Sigma Alpha Mu’s Developing Leaders Initiative from 2011. Following graduation, Fra Riegler worked as a Leadership Consultant for Sigma Alpha Mu for 3 years. Upon leaving the fraternity, he began working for a start-up in Indianapolis called Diagnotes, where he works on project management and product design.
