Michele Peterson named Assistant Executive Director

 

Michele Peterson has been promoted to Assistant Executive Director for Sigma Alpha Mu Fraternity following her service the past three years as Director of Chapter Services.

 

“Michele is an invaluable part of our team,” stated Executive Director Andy Huston. “This promotion is recognition of her strong performance and leadership in support of our members through enhanced chapter services, educational programs, and risk reduction resources.”

 

Andy continued, “this is an opportunity to expand Michele’s professional development with increased involvement in the business administration of the fraternity’s work while continuing to improve our programs and services through assessment. Additionally, Michele continues to be a valued partner and sought after facilitator for interfraternal and campus programs.”

 

After three years of working on staff, Michele explained, “I’m excited for the opportunity to learn and grow as a professional.”  Michele continued, “In this new role, I look forward to having a greater impact on the Fraternity’s strategic plan implementation while continuing to be a resource and advocate for our undergraduate leaders, chapters, and advisors.”  

 

Michele graduated from Western Illinois University in 2007 with a degree in Social Work and graduated with her Masters in Student Affairs and Higher Education in 2009 from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
