In accordance with the Blue Book, the Convention “may amend this Constitution by a three-quarter vote of all those voting, provided, however, that any amendments to divisions A to F hereof can only be voted upon if said amendments have been presented in writing to the Octagon at least 90 days before the Convention, for publication in the Convention Foreword.”

Charter Ratification of Epsilon Pi at University of Rhode Island
July 27-30, 2020 – Chapter Goal Setting Meetings
Each year at Convention, chapter delegates meet with a staff member or volunteer to review CPR scoresheet and discuss chapter goals for the next academic year. This year, that will be done in a virtual format and your entire Council/Advisors will be able to attend. Chapters will be paired with a staff member and be assigned a date and time (after traditional work hours) during the week of July 27-30. More details will be provided to Council members over the summer.

Join Sigma Alpha Mu Executive Director Andy Huston and North American Interfraternity Conference President and CEO Jud Horras as we discuss the impacts of COVID19 and the value of fraternity today.
Tuesday, August 4 (3pm PDT/6pm EDT) – Keeping the Memory Alive with Judy Fund and CrowdChange
Encouraged Attendance: Philanthropy chairs and Exchequers
Guest Speakers Elizabeth Gelfand (Judy Fund – Alzheimer’s Association) and Liam Moore (CrowdChange) will share best practices for philanthropy events during/post COVID19.
August 5 (3pm PDT/6pm EDT) – Leading During Uncertain Times (Speaker Darryl Bellamy, CAMPUSPEAK)
Encouraged Attendance: Council members and chairmen
This session will empower fratres to lead fearlessly during this challenging time and provide actionable strategies that are congruent with the purpose of Sigma Alpha Mu. Fratres will leave feeling energized and inspired to create a lasting legacy, challenge the status-quo, and lead fearlessly.
August 6 (3pm PDT/6pm EDT) – Recruitment Roundtables
Encouraged Attendance: Recruitment chairs and committee members
Facilitated recruitment discussions with chapters of similar size/campus culture). In late May, the Fraternity hosted these discussions with recruitment chairs that were well received and helpful to those who attended. By early August, all chapters will have a better idea of their campus status (in-person/virtual) and we can have more targeted recruitment conversations with these same groups.
August 7 (12pm PDT/3pm EDT) – Chapter Size Programming
Encouraged Attendance: Council member(s)
Facilitated chapter operations discussions with chapters of similar size/campus culture. A survey will be sent out over to chapter leaders asking for input on topics and operations areas that would be helpful to discuss with other chapters similar to your own.
