Chapter Leaders Day (CLD)

Chapter Leaders Day Registration is open!

Sigma Alpha Mu is excited to announce the return of an in-person experience for Chapter Leaders Day! These one-day regional conferences will give chapter officers and members an opportunity to participate in officer specific training, network with other chapters and have thoughtful conversations about issues facing our Fraternity and the Fraternal movement.

Each chapter will attend the CLD in their region (your chapter will only attend ONE CLD). Attendance is required for 5 members of your chapter: Prior, Vice Prior, Exchequer, Recorder, and Candidate Educator. CLD Attendance will be tracked and the attendance expectation is outlined in the Chapter Performance Report.

If you are having issues accessing your MySam profile, email [email protected] and he will resend you a portal invite or reset your password.

• When do I need to be there?
  • Check-in will be from 8:15 – 8:45 a.m. local time, the sessions begin at 9:00 a.m. local time. Our opening session begins promptly at 9:00 a.m. If you are late (or leave the conference early), that WILL impact your chapter’s attendance at the conference (which in turn will impact your chapter’s insurance next year in the form of a surcharge)
  • CLD will end by 4:30 p.m. local time
  • Lunch is provided for all participants
• What’s the dress code?
  • Business casual (collared shirt and pants)
• What’s the cost to attend CLD?
  • There is no registration fee to attend CLD. However, travel and overnight accommodations are the responsibility of each chapter. Note: Some chapters have an educational fund through the Sigma Alpha Mu Foundation in which they can request funding from, please contact Maria Mandel ([email protected]) for more information.
  • Each registrant will receive program materials and lunch. Breakfast is not included in the CLD registration.
• What if our chapter doesn’t attend CLD?
  • There is a fine of $1,000 for not attending CLD. Additionally, there would be a 5% surcharge to your Risk Management and Insurance rates for the next year for failure to send the required delegation (required to send 5).
• What if one of our council leaders cannot attend?
  • Exceptions will need to be approved by Fraternity staff prior to the session start date. Please contact your chapter coach ahead of your CLD date.
