About the Chapter
The Delta Pi Chapter at University of Ottawa in Ottawa, ON, CA chartered on January 31, 1993. Over 325 men have been initiated into the Delta Pi Chapter since its inception.
Current Status
The Delta Pi Chapter’s 30th anniversary year will include events like our Anniversary Formal. Last year, 200+ fratres and university students attended the formal. We will also host our philanthropic initiative, the Pan-SAM collective Movember campaign. In Fall 2018, the brothers of Delta Pi Chapter went around the University of Ottawa campus collecting donations for poppies in the name of the Canadian Legion, a charity in support of Canadian veterans. We collected well over $1,800 CAD and surpassed our goal by roughly 180%. This year, we raised our benchmark to collect $2,500 in 11 days between November 1-11 in time for our Remembrance Day. This holiday is the equivalent of Memorial Day in the USA. Delta Pi Chapter anticipates a great year representing Sigma Alpha Mu as its sole Canadian chapter.
