About the Chapter
The Sigma Omicron Chapter at University of Nebraska Lincoln in Lincoln, NE chartered on December 11, 1926. Over 659 men have been initiated into the Sigma Omicron Chapter since its inception.
The Sigma Omicron Chapter hosted a barbecue on Labor Day for incoming freshmen. Everyone competed in a competitive corn hole competition. The event provided a fraternal experience that was enjoyed by all. We are looking forward to hosting the event again next year. Our chapter pays respect every two weeks to our fraternity’s Jewish heritage. Gary Hill (Nebraska, ’58), one of our alumni advisors, helps us do maintenance on the Nebraska State Holocaust Memorial. Our chapter members clean up debris and maintain the Sea of Stones. Additional helpers, elementary-aged students, join us in the springtime to help maintain the memorial as well. We look forward to improving our recruitment numbers and building community relations.
