Accountability

“The culture of your chapter is determined by the worst behavior you are willing to tolerate”

As mentioned in the video, it is important to be preventative, intervene in the moment and then hold individuals accountable.

It is extremely important that your chapter has an effective Standards/Judicial Board in place for peer-to-peer accountability. Chapter Standards/Judicial Board Guide is a great resource that has sample Standards/Judicial Board processes, sample charge letters, sample sanctions, etc. This is a great tool to use to revamp your chapter’s accountability process and to train your Standards/Judicial Board members. Additionally, each semester the HQ staff hosts a Standards/Judicial Board Training, so encourage the members of that Board to attend.

Reminder: Make sure your chapter members are knowledgeable on the Good SAMaritan Policy and any similar policies at your University.
