Young Alumnus Consul / FIU, '14
Patrick James Wright III joined Sigma Alpha Mu at the Delta Zeta Chapter. As an undergrad at Florida International University, Patrick was passionate about being connected to a community of people looking to give back and have a good time while doing it. Patrick began his leadership journey in ΣΑΜ running the chapter’s social media and webpage. As he grew in his leadership capacity, he worked with the FIU Campus Life Office and the local IFC to help create an environment of accountability where fraternity and sorority members could thrive.
After graduating with his bachelor’s degree, Patrick joined the ΣΑΜ staff as an Educational Leadership Consultant. As Patrick traveled and engaged with fellow fraters and university staff, he affirmed working with college students was an enjoyable career path. This work led Patrick to earn a Master of Education in College Student Affairs. Patrick volunteers to stay connected to the fraternal movement. He enjoys serving as a facilitator for workshops and conferences for various fraternal leadership organizations. With an emphasis on helping students understand their why and how to lead with accountability, Patrick looks forward to meeting and talking with more leaders. Today, Patrick serves as a Coordinator for Sorority and Fraternity Life at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
In his spare time, Patrick loves to exercise with others. He is a lover of all forms of movement, from running to yoga to biking and swimming. Patrick also offers time to his local church as a production volunteer and worship team member. Before joining the Octagon, Patrick served as a ΣΑΜ chapter advisor for the Delta Zeta Candidate Education Program and a member of the ΣΑΜ IDEA Committee.
